Murphy Has Chance to Move off Bottom Spot

Shaun Murphy will be using tonight’s Premier League match as a building block for the rest of his season. The 2005 world champion has had a slow start to the season and that has really been reflected in his Premier League form. Day Plays Stevens in TCC Quarter Finals

Ryan Day will play Matthew Stevens this week in the first quarter final of the 2009 TCC Snooker Pro-am. The all-welsh affair will be screened live online by Cuesport TV exclusively to subscription holders.
The tournament, that started in June, is now reaching the business end with a second quarter final between Darren Morgan and defending champion, Lee Walker, taking place on table two the same evening. Following this match will be the first semi final match to see who will reach the final on 13th August.

Snooker Stars to Play in Newport

The Tredegar Constitutional Club in Newport will once again be the venue for the TCC Pro-am. This small club in Newport with only two snooker tables will host the likes of Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and Matthew Stevens.
Played every Thursday night starting on the 25th June until the final on August 6th, this tournament manages to attract big names and some very talented amateurs despite only carrying a £1750 first prize.
It is of course great match practice for the brand new season that starts late in July with the qualifiers …
