The event, last won by Britain’s Daryl Peach back in 2007, has had problems with sponsors and venues over the past two years but finally the event has taken over the date and venue of the former Qatar Open.

GB9 Leagues, Britains first official 9 Ball League is launched today. In association with Rileys Snooker and Pool and several Independent clubs, GB9 Leagues will run in over 120 Clubs throughout Great Britain.
Its aim to attract over a thousand members to play team league 9 Ball, and a further 256 to play in Regional Teams to qualify for the main GB9 Ball Tour.
