Maria Catalano, newly installed as the World Ladies Number 1, will be the favourite alongside Emma Bonney for this weekends WLBSA Southern Classic event in Fareham.

Former World Number 1, and reigning champion of the Southern Classic event, Reanne Evans will not be in attendance for the second ranking event in a row on the Ladies tour as she is suffering from Pleurisy. There is somewhat of a coup for this event though as the World Ladies Billiards and Snooker Association have attracted four players from Hong Kong, one from Germany and one from Iran.

In total the event has to date had 17 entries with Jasmine Bolsover being the youngest entrant at just 12 years of age.
