If like some (not me I must add), you are already sick of the World Cup and are looking for a change in your viewing pattern this weekend then online sports channel Cuesport TV could well be your answer. The UK based broadband channel are providing live coverage of two 9-ball pool money matches from a new club in Wakefield. In both cases the players are backing themselves with a £1000-per-man entry fee and a winner-take-all prize. For the first time in the UK Wheelchair pool will feature as the undercard match. The two players competing are Aslam Abubaker and Tony Southern, both men compete on both the British Wheelchair Tour and also the UK’s GB 9 Ball Tour. The race-to-21 match will be one to watch with both of these players preferring an attacking game. The action does not stop there though as at 7pm the main event of the day kicks off with Ben Moore playing Adam Benn Smith. The two players are highly regarded in the UK and in the case of Ben is unbeaten in two previous money-match outings shown on Cuesport TV. The players both ply their trade on the GB 9 Ball Tour and although both have competed at pro level they have stepped down to the Challenge Tour in order to develop their games further. Two matches of high quality 9-ball can be had on Cuesport TV for the paultry price of nothing. Yes that is correct I said NOTHING. The matches are completely free to view.
