Carl Morris will be looking to capitalise on his great form at the last Super Tour event in Keynsham when the series returns this weekend in Leicester.Carl Morris

Morris defeated another in-form player in Ronan McCarthy in one of the longest finals in the history of the tour. The match that finished 8-6 in favour of Morris took well over 2 hours and a tournament that was scheduled to finish at around 8pm was not over until 10:30pm.

There will be very fierce competition this time out from a myriad of former Super Tour winners and a collection of former and current World Champions.

One man that didn’t feature in the first event but is back this time out is Gareth Potts and he is long overdue a victory on the UK’s richest 8 Ball pool tour, expect him to feature very strongly alongside the likes of Mick Hill, Simon Ward, Chris Melling and Craig Marsh.

Phil Harrison also deserves a mention, this years excellent victory in the Fosters World 8-ball Championship has been followed up with victory in the latest IPA Tour event in Hinckley. The World Championship victory has give Phil a huge boost of confidence and he is riding high and will be very difficult to beat this weekend.

It is also worth mentioning that the tour is handicapped and Emma Cunningham playing off a plus four made the most of it in the last event almost reaching the final in a very tight match against Ronan McCarthy. That particular match finished 8-7 to Ronan which got him his place in the final.

As ever a lot of the events happenings will be down to the draw, some high profile players have not played the tour enough to warrant a seeding so they could come a croper early on.
