Hendry Will Need to Find Form

The PartyCasino.com Premier League snooker returns this Thursday with round 5 of the league matches.

One of the players certain to be looking for some form after his woeful second round defeat against Mark Williams in the Grand Prix, will be Stephen Hendry. One thing is for sure he will be glad of the competitive match practice, one way out of poor form is of course to continue playing. Fellow Scot, John Higgins, Stephen’s opponent in Aberdeen, recently made a comment in The Daily Record stating that,

“He locks himself away at his house and practises on his own.

John Higgins“I’ve never done that and I don’t think you can. You think you’re hitting the ball well in practice but it’s only when you come out and practise against some of the Scottish boys, who I love to play, that you get an accurate picture.

“I play Stephen Maguire, Alan McManus, Graeme Dott and Marcus Campbell every day – and I see how well I’m doing.”

It is an important week for Hendry as he plays the Grand Prix semi-finalist and world number one. He is meeting Higgins at a very positive time for the man from Wishaw.

Cuesport News Prediction: Hendry 2 – 4 Higgins

The second match of the week features Ronnie O’Sullivan, who recently signed a six figure deal to act as the Ambassador for Rileys, and Shaun Murphy.

Murphy also looked out of sorts at the Grand Prix but is the type of player that can trun his form around very quickly. This match will be close and it would be possible that we see yet another draw. O’Sullivan has more experience in these Premier League matches but still it will be a close affair.

Cuesport News Prediction: O’Sullivan 3 – 3 Murphy
