Group Stages Coming to a Close in Qatar
This years World Pool Championships has already had it’s fair share of shocks but yesterday they continued to come in as joining Daryl Peach, Imran Majid and Darren Appleton on the plane home were noted stars Thorsten Hohmann, Karl Boyes, Fabio Petroni, Niels Feijen and Rodney Morris.
Some new names are making some waves out in Doha with Britains So Shaw being responsible for the downfall of Petroni, Yousseff Jatar beating Niels Feijen and Chan Kang Kwang ousting Morris.
The list of players not making it to the knockout stages is almost a whos-who of World Pool and there is still chance that more recognisable talent could fall in the last qualifying matches being held today.
Thomas Engert, Chris Melling, Radoslaw Babica, Mark Gray and Corey Deuel all face do or die matches to try and sneak into the last 64 knockout stages.
