Great Britain’s 9-ball League and County Structure Announced
Press Release: 31/07/2009
After the amazing success of the GB9 Ball Tour, Entropy is pleased to confirm the development of GB9 Ball Leagues.
To coincide with the start of the GB9 Ball Tourʼs 3rd season, GB9 Ball leagues will run in over 120 Rileys clubs throughout the U.K. (Independents wishing to participate are more than welcome, please email for criteria). The Leagues will consist of localized team events aimed at grass roots players and a more advanced County Team League aimed at the intermediate level pool player.
Excitingly there will be opportunities guaranteed for each level to progress to the next on merit with guaranteed spots for both county and the GB9 Challenge Division.
No matter what your standard of play there will be something for all cue sports enthusiasts.
GB9 Ball League
Will see teams of three players complete in 3 periods of twelve weeks. Whilst team results are important, individual results will be the measuring tool to decide who goes forward to complete in the play offs for the singleʼs title and the 36 Qualifying spots for the County Level. There will also be end of season play offs for team title and an Open for the bottom 64 players, for best newcomer.
GB9 Ball County
6 Super Counties will be created and will meet each other in a round robin format with the top two teams fighting out for the main trophy. Similarly to the League individual results will count and the top 64 will be invited to attend a qualifying event for a guaranteed 50% of all GB9 Challenge Tour spots.
Exact Dates will be confirmed nearer the time, until then please feel free to log onto gb9leagues.com (live from August 1st 2009) to register your details and for more information.
Finally Entropy would like to say a BIG thank you to our sponsors whom without there support this would not been possible.
