A team made up of two World Champions and two further International pool stars have won the first ever European Nations Cup.

Daryl Peach, Darren Appleton, Imran Majid and Karl Boyes flew the flag for Britain out in Kielce, Poland and have come away with yet another International title.

In the final they beat Russia which now gives them a place in the World Nations Cup to be held in Germany later this year or early into 2010. The prize money on offer at the World Nations Cup will see an amazing $100,000 to the winning team and no doubt International television coverage.

Britain are experiencing massive success on the World stage at the moment and this result only confirms the potential that British players now have, we will be difficut to beat in the World Nations Cup but teams like Germany (who incidentally did not compete in the European version) will be tougher opposition.
