Former World Champion, Graeme Dott battled back from 4-1 down against Jimmy Robertson to book himself a space on the plane to Shanghai.
Dott who trailed 4-1 at the interval looked a completely different player after the break and capped off the display with a magnificent 113 break to make the score 3-4. In the next frame he leveled the match with breaks of 72 and 44 before winning the match in a very scrappy frame where the highest notable knock was a 38 from Dott.
Below are the completed results from the 2009 Shanghai Masters Qualifiers:
- Graeme Dott 5-4 Jimmy Robertson
- Nigel Bond 5-4 Dominic Dale
- Stephen Lee 5-3 Lee Spick
- Stuart Bingham 5-2 Mark Davis
- Gerard Greene 5-3 Martin Gould
- Matthew Stevens 5-1 Patrick Wallace
- Joe Swail 5-1 Adrian Gunnell
- Steve Davis 4-5 Matthew Selt
The loss for Steve Davis continues the poor form of former World Champions, a very scrappy match where Davis only managed a high break of 35.
