“There is no pleasing pool players” goes the oft quoted mantra, and judging by the regular and sometimes gruesome evisceration (metaphorical, sometimes….) of almost everything and everyone associated with the game, far from there being a grain of truth in the statement, there is a boulder sized lump of both perceptiveness and clarity in it.

Carl Morris will be looking to capitalise on his great form at the last Super Tour event in Keynsham when the series returns this weekend in Leicester.
Morris defeated another in-form player in Ronan McCarthy in one of the longest finals in the history of the tour. The match that finished 8-6 in favour of Morris took well over 2 hours and a tournament that was scheduled to finish at around 8pm was not over until 10:30pm.

Carl Morris put in an almost flawless performance to lift the first event in this years £48,000 8-Ball Super Tour.
The former WEPF World 8-Ball Champion came up against Irishman Ronan McCarthy in the final and led the match throughout, he eventually lifted the title with an 8-6 win.

I’m gonna have a bit of a rant now.
I come from one of the most bitchiest professions in the world – the performing arts. I have been a dancer practically all my life and the competition is high – and so are the comments. To be a dancer you have to be dedicated, know your “equipment”, have the proper training, get a variety of styles under your belt to be an all rounder. I can equate this to pool.
