Francisco Bustamante has battled his way through a very tough field out in Qatar to reach the final of the 2010 WPA World 9-ball Championships in Doha, Qatar.

The Filipino master, dubbed by some the best player never to have lifted a world title, steped into todays final with a comfortable 11-5 victory over fellow Pinoy Antonio Lining.

The former World Cup of Pool champion will now face off against Chinese Taipei’s Kuo Po Chen in the final set for 5pm UK time today.

Kuo had a less than comfortable ride to the final after being pushed the whole match by a resurgent Johnny Archer of the USA, the final scoreline was 11-10 to Kuo.

Neither player has lifted this title in the past so we will have a brand new name on the trophy and one lucky winner will be walking away with $36,000 top prize.
