The 34th annual running of the biggest open event in the pool calendar is currently underway in Chesapeake Virginia. Around 400 players are congragating in the USA trying to lift the $40,000 first prize.

Many notables are involved in this prestigious event including former winners Gabe Owen, Rodney Morris, Mika Immonen, Shane Van Boening and Jeremy Jones. These players are joined by the current World number 1, and world 10-ball champion, Darren Appleton who is desperate to land yet another major title in a 12 months that has been astonishing for the englishman from Pontefract.

The European contingent will be strong with Niels Feijen, Ralf Souquet and more also looking to get their own hands on the top prize.
